How To Raise A Good Kid

Posted by Finn Craist on February 16, 2012 – 10:04 am

Every child that you bring into this world is entitled to shelter, nutrition, education and discipline from their parents. It is imperative that you give your child the best education that you can afford, since good education does not only mean that he will obtain good knowledge academically, but also good discipline and guidance from his teachers.

If you enroll your child in a public school, there is a chance that he will get low quality education since public schools sometimes lack sufficient accreditation. However, private schools really screen their teachers and only hire those whose teaching skills are way beyond the ordinary. They also see to it that the amount that parents pay in the form of tuition fees are compensated by the high standard of education that the school provides.

In public schools, teachers and the administration are usually lax and do not usually push kids to be the best that they can be. The teaching seems laid back and the students also become laid back in their studies. They do not study regularly and would only study during exams, or even worse, cheat their way to a passing grade.

Thus, enrolling your child in a good school is key to teach him a sense of responsibility and purpose and to instill in him the importance of doing his best in everything that he does. If he achieves something, he will be rewarded with medals and trophies and even praises from his peers. If early in his life, a child is taught the value of doing his best, he will realize that he would have a much brighter future.

It is also essential that you teach your child that trophies and medals are not that important, just as long as you know that with every challenge, he did his best. He should be taught to take success and failure with open arms. Both of these will help put a balance in his character. A child who cannot face failures are those whose parents failed to develop emotional intelligence in his child. This is why he needs to know both to be genuinely complete.

Is your child getting ready for school? It is important that you enroll him in a school which has received numerous medals and trophies for giving the best quality education.
